- One who has tried the demo told me that you had to use only the
- supplied environment, everything depended on that. That means
- that you can't use your favourite text editor with the
- environment, as it is more thightly woven than SAS/C's.
-
- Now, something I wonder myself. It does support C++ and my
- questions are:
-
- Anybody tried it with C++?
- How does it perform in C++?
- Does it do exception handling correctly?
- Does it support templates correctly (templates as arguments to
- templates, etc.)?
- Will the STL (Standard Template Library) work with StormC/C++?
- Does StormC/C++ compile MUI programs or not (I saw a posting
- concerning this)?
- How is the debugger?
- How is it's editor (does cut, copy and paste recide on the
- standard keys, has it the usual programming stuff (bracket
- highlightning, find prototypes, show all used classes etc.?))?
-
- I hope someone can answer these questions, and if you have tried
- Symantec C++ or Visual C++ then a comparision would be
- appriciated (as we could use that to make H&P make a better
- compiler/environment), as I have heard much good about the
- Symantec environment.
